Mark Hamill’s Secret Other Role in The Rise of Skywalker
While Mark Hamill is best known in the Star Wars franchise for his role as the hero Lucas Skywalker, that doesn’t mean he can’t do anything else. In The Last Jedi, Hamill both starred as Luke and had a cameo role voicing/mo-capping Dobbu Scay. For those who don’t recognize the name – which is probably nearly everyone – Scay was the small drunk alien that thought BB-8 was a slot machine he could stuff coins into during the Canto Bight sequence.
Warning – spoilers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker below:
In The Rise of Skywalker, Hamill returns for another alien cameo (along with briefly returning as Luke). This time, he plays Boolio, a multi-horned creature working in a mine that was covertly sending resources to the Resistance. Boolio discovered an important data file of First Order information, which he then gave to Finn and R2-D2. That is, until he was executed by Kylo Ren as a traitor.
If you’ve got an extra $40 or so burning a hole in your pocket, Oriental Trading is selling a full-height, standing cardboard version of the guy. I’m not sure what party needs a giant Boolio, but hey I guess it’s good to know that’s an option.
